What was the highlight of Hotel J Pattaya
Not bad for price, but there are better options in Pattaya for similar cost.
The room was a fair size, and the beds were soft (not always the case in Thailand). Lots of parking outside hotel or in car park under hotel. Good for the price point.
Unfortunately the hotel block we stayed in was past it's glory days, which the pictures on Booking.com don't capture. Just generally a bit shabby. Our room had stains on the ceiling above the aircon unit, and stains in the bathroom. The wooden fixtures were delaminated everywhere, and the bedding had pencil scribbles on it (I assume from previous guest's kids) and what looked like moth holes! Those from the UK, think Butlins and you wouldn't be far off. The shower ran hot and cold by itself, and there was only a shower head fixed to the wall, and not a head on a hose, which is useful if you are travelling with kids, as we were. Breakfast was very basic, and a little monotonous, not at all like the pictures on Booking.com. If you want to eat without rushing be early, as at 10am, when breakfast service ends, they actually turn off the aircon, lights and music to make it as uncomfortable as possible for paid guests. I found this both amusing and annoying at the same time!

What was the highlight of Hotel J Pattaya
Very Good
The room and bathroom is decently spacious, the bed is also very comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly cheap but well worth the little bit of extra money if you want a quick breakfast.
The shower was a little weak in our room, noise insulation could be better and the balcony could do a little bit of cleaning.
